Fellowship Programme Director
We are delighted to invite applications for this exciting new role of Fellowship Programme Director, North Cumbria GP Fellowship Programme. The post is hosted by Carlisle Healthcare GP Practice and funded by NHSEI/Health Education England.
The role of the Programme Director is to lead and support the delivery of the HEE GP Fellowship Programme for newly qualified GPs, aligned to the NHSEI Guidance and mandate. The TPD role involves working in partnership with local stakeholders and North Cumbria Training Hub to establish and embed the Programme across North Cumbria local system.
The Programme Director will focus upon improvement of learner supervision, assessment and experience, ensuring effective educational programmes both now and in the future. The TPD will ensure the Programme meets the NHSEI assurance requirements while leading and supporting Fellows though the duration of the Programme. The role is evolving and will focus on establishing the GP Fellowship Programme across North Cumbria and workforce transformation in Primary Care Networks and General Practice.
The post is being offered as a zero hours contract initially with a view to 2 sessions/month (with sessional commitment increasing as agreed with the post holder in response to the number of fellows enrolled in the programme)
Salary: £94,777 p.a pro rata (based on a 9 session week)

Considerable experience of working with learners or doctors in training or in an educational context

Experience of clinical and educational leadership and innovation, including managing a multi-professional team.

Demonstrate a track record of delivery in service and education
